每年农历的五月五号是中国的传统节日——端午节。在这一天，人们要吃粽子、赛龙舟，怀念伟大的爱国诗人——屈原。赛龙舟很热闹，这是中国南方很有特色的端午节活动，很多地方都有自己的龙舟队，人们也很喜欢看龙舟比赛，都希望自己支持的龙舟队可以赢得比赛。
在中国浙江省瑞安县，人们也非常热爱赛龙舟，几乎每个乡镇都有自己的龙舟队。当地的赛龙舟很有特色，在龙舟下水前舵手要用方言唱一首歌，歌词的意思是希望一切顺利。另外，还有一个特色就是“跳艄”，就是安排舵手在龙舟船头跳一跳，甚至跳起来还要360度的转圈，然后平稳地落下来，这样做的目的是为了给船员们加油，鼓舞他们加速划船。
在瑞安有一个老舵手叫丁玉珍，他今年83岁了。他从16岁的时候就开始划船，他训练得很努力，在20岁的时候他就成了龙舟上的舵手。在当地，人们非常尊重也很羡慕舵手，都觉得他们是了不起的人。虽然丁爷爷年纪大了，但是他仍然很热爱赛龙舟，仍然每年都在龙舟上跳艄。2023年丁爷爷“跳艄”的视频在网络上火了，大家都很佩服他。丁爷爷说，他很期待今年的龙舟比赛，他觉得去年的比赛不过瘾，他还想再参加两年的比赛呢。

Zài zhōngguó Zhèjiāng shěng Ruì’ān xiàn, rénmen yě fēicháng rèài sài lóngzhōu, jīhū měi gè xiāngzhèn dōu yǒu zìjǐ de lóngzhōu duì. Dāngdì de sài lóngzhōu hěn yǒu tèsè, zài lóngzhōu xià shuǐ qián duòshǒu yào yòng fāngyán chàng yī shǒu gē, gēcí de yìsi shì xīwàng yīqiè shùnlì. Lìngwài, hái yǒu yī gè tèsè jiùshì “tiào shāo”, jiùshì ānpái duòshǒu zài lóngzhōu chuán tóu tiào yī tiào, shènzhì tiào qǐlái hái yào 360 dù de zhuànquān, ránhòu píngwěn de luò xiàlái, zhèyàng zuò de mùdì shì wèile gěi chuányuánmen jiāyóu, gǔwǔ tāmen jiāsù huá chuán.
Zài Ruì’ān yǒu yī gè lǎo duòshǒu jiào Dīng Yùzhēn, tā jīnnián 83 suì le. Tā cóng 16 suì de shíhou jiù kāishǐ huá chuán, tā xùnliàn dé hěn nǔlì, zài 20 suì de shíhou tā jiù chéngle lóngzhōu shàng de duòshǒu. Zài dāngdì, rénmen fēicháng zūnzhòng yě hěn xiànmù duòshǒu, dōu juédé tāmen shì liǎobùqǐ de rén. Suīrán Dīng yéyé niánjì dàle, dànshì tā réngrán hěn rèài sài lóngzhōu, réngrán měinián dōu zài lóngzhōu shàng tiào shāo. 2023 nián Dīng yéyé “tiào shāo” de shìpín zài wǎngluò shàng huǒle, dàjiā dōu hěn pèifú tā. Dīng yéyé shuō, tā hěn qīdài jīnnián lóngzhōu de bǐsài, tā juédé qùnián de bǐsài bùguòyǐn, tā hái xiǎng zài cānjiā liǎng nián de bǐsài ne.
The fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar is the traditional Chinese festival – the Dragon Boat Festival. Dragon boat racing is very lively, which is a distinctive Dragon Boat Festival activity in southern China. In addition, there is a special feature called “jumping the rudder,” which arranges for the helmsman to jump at the bow of the dragon boat. Sometimes, they even need to do a 360-degree turn in the air before landing smoothly. This is done to cheer up the crew and inspire them to paddle faster.
In Ruian, there is an old helmsman named Ding Yuzhen, who is 83 years old this year. He started rowing at the age of 16 and trained very hard. By the age of 20, he became the helmsman on the dragon boat. In the local area, people highly respect and admire helmsmen, considering them remarkable individuals. Although Grandpa Ding is old, he still loves dragon boat racing very much and still jumps the rudder on the dragon boat every year. In 2023, a video of Grandpa Ding “jumping the rudder” went viral on the internet, and everyone admired him. Grandpa Ding said he is looking forward to this year’s dragon boat race. He felt last year’s race was not satisfying enough, and he wants to participate in the competition for another two years.
