中国人喜欢龙，有很长历史的龙文化，比如人们喜欢在春节的时候舞龙，希望龙在新的一年带来好运；在不下雨的时候，人们希望四海龙王可以帮忙，因为听说龙可以让天空下雨。
龙墩墩的身上就带着中国龙文化，另外，中国人认为世界是“金木水火土”五种不同的东西组成的，所以就做了五种不同颜色的龙墩墩。
